Louie's career took off under the neon lights of Las Vegas where he has captured devastation to jubilation, presidents to porn stars, pro athletes to little leaguers, and many other things that happened in Vegas, but didn't stay in Vegas after the photos were published.
His professional journey began at at the award-winning student newspaper at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where Louie was Chief Photographer at the award-winning student newspaper, The Rebel Yell. Following school, he introduced his work to a worldwide audience through clients such as the Associated Press, European Pressphoto Agency, and Agencia EFE, the Spanish news wire, as well as Nevada's largest newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal. His work has appeared in countless publications such as Sports Illustrated, Outside Magazine, USA Today, The Guardian (UK), The Wall Street Journal, and many more.
An opportunity presented itself to relocate base camp to Breckenridge, Colorado where Louie continues to use his documentary style to create unique, story-telling images in his mountain community.
Louie strives to blend work with play so he can often be found with a camera in hand, climbing mountains, riding a bicycle, snowboarding secret powder stashes, or paddling a river with his rescue dog, Marley.
