My career as a photojournalist took off under the neon lights of Las Vegas where I captured devastation to jubilation and presidents to pro athletes, along with many other things that happened in Vegas, but didn't stay in Vegas after the photos were published.
The adventure began at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where I was Chief Photographer at the award-winning, student newspaper, The Rebel Yell. I then introduced my work to a worldwide audience through clients such as The Associated Press, European Pressphoto Agency, and Agencia EFE (the Spanish news wire), as well as Nevada's largest newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal. My work has appeared in countless media outlets including CNN, NPR, USA Today, The Guardian (UK), The Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated, Outside Magazine, and many more.
Today, I continue to use my documentary style to create story-telling content for wire services, various brands, local businesses, marketing agencies, and tourism offices.
I believe in blending work with play so I'm often found with a camera in hand climbing mountains, riding a bicycle, snowboarding secret powder stashes, paddling a river, or camping with my rescue dog, Marley.
